Mohamed Salah has been recalled to Liverpool’s squad for their Premier League clash against Brighton, ending a brief but tense spell on the sidelines.

The Egyptian forward was left out of the midweek Champions League 1-0 victory over Inter Milan, sparking speculation about his relationship with manager Arne Slot.

His absence was particularly notable given his status as one of the club’s most influential players, and fans were quick to question whether internal disagreements were behind the decision.

Reports suggest that Salah held face‑to‑face talks with Slot at the AXA Training Centre on Friday morning, where both parties sought to ease tensions.

While the discussions were described as “positive,” they did not fully resolve the underlying issues.

Nevertheless, Slot’s decision to restore Salah to the squad for the Brighton fixture indicates a willingness to move forward, at least temporarily, and ensure Liverpool’s attack is at full strength for a crucial league encounter.

The timing of Salah’s return is significant, as Saturday’s match is expected to be his final appearance for Liverpool before departing to join Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

His inclusion offers supporters one last chance to see him in action before he represents his country on the continental stage.

For Liverpool, it also provides a boost in firepower as they aim to maintain momentum in the Premier League title race.
