Ato Forson celebrates drop of inflation to 6.3% lowest in 4 years

According to the Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam MP, the November 2025 inflation rate of 6.3% which is the lowest level since the 2021 rebasing, indicates Ghana’s “real, measurable progress” under President John Dramani Mahama.

Taking to his social media handles to celebrate the feat, Dr Forson said the sharp fall in food inflation is especially encouraging because of its direct impact on households.

“Inflation has dropped to 6.3 per cent in November 2025, the lowest since the 2021 rebasing and the eleventh consecutive month of decline. I am especially delighted by the sharp fall in food inflation, down from 9.5 per cent in October to 6.6 per cent in November.

He noted that the broad-based decline signals improving economic stability and growing confidence in Ghana’s recovery efforts.

“Price pressures are easing across the board. Local inflation has slowed from 8.0 per cent to 6.8 per cent, while imported inflation has fallen even faster, from 7.8 per cent to 5.0 per cent.”
