The draw for the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup was made on Thursday in Cairo with all clubs learning their opponents except Sudanese clubs who are yet to discover their opponents from Libya in the CAF Champions League.

Ghanaian champions Samartex are facing Cameroonian champions Victoria United while Nsoatreman in the Confederation Cup will square off against Elect Sport of Chad in the first preliminary round of the play offs.

Nsoatreman is based in the Bono Region of Ghana while Samartex is located in the Western Region of Ghana. CAF has revealed that both teams will play their home games in Kumasi at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

CAF recognises Baba Yara Sports Stadium as the only qualified venue for their organised competitions and hence these two teams must follow Medeama and Dreams FC’s route of playing their home games in Oseikrom during the 2023-24 campaign in Africa.
