WAFCON 2024 is less than five months before the big kick-off in Morocco. Preparations for qualified teams are underway, with coaches set to intensify their work on tactics and approaches.
Ghana is one of the 12 teams that have booked a place in the WAFCON 2024.
The Black Queens lost their Swiss coach, Nora Hauptle, to the Copper Queens of Zambia after the Ghana Football Association failed to reach an agreement to renew her contract.
Swedish head coach Lars Bjorkegren was appointed as Hauptle’s replacement and will take charge of his first game when Black Queens square off against Morocco at the Pere Jego Stadium in Casablanca on Friday, February 21.
The newly appointed head coach will get the opportunity to assess his squad with the Morocco-friendly match considered a Grade A match.
Ghana is due to play two friendly games in the February international.
