The preparations ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup for Ghana will commence in March’s international friendly, where the Black Stars will face Austria and Germany.

Otto Addo was expected to name his squad by the close of the week, but has announced it earlier, contrary to the rumours.

The 26-man squad is headed by striker Jordan Ayew. In-form Manchester City’s bona fide forward, Antoine Semenyo, is included.

La Liga duo Thomas Partey and Kwasi Sibo were included in the midfield options.

Hearts of Oak’s number one goalķeeper Benjamin Asare, alongside Ati-Zigi of St Gallen and Joseph Anang of St. Patrick’s Athletic, are the three goalkeepers Otto Addo selected.

Auxerre’s right back Marvin Senaye, whom Togo was courting, was given a debut call-up by Otto Addo. Also, Patrick Pfeiffer of SV Darmstadt, Derrick Luckassen of Pafos FC and Daniel Agyei of Kocaelispor were given debut call-ups.

Youngster Caleb Yirenkyi of Nordsjaelland was included in the defence.

Veteran forward Andre Dede Ayew, who many believed was going to earn a call-up after almost a three-year absence, was not called up.
