In a bold demonstration of his commitment to education and youth empowerment, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bosome Freho in the Ashanti Region, Nana Asafo-Adjei Ayeh, has rolled out a major educational support initiative for 1,468 students who recently completed the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The beneficiaries, drawn from various communities across the constituency, including Tebeso, Dunkura, Nsueam, Nsuta, and Asiwa, received full prospectus packages to prepare them for entry into Senior High School (SHS).
The MP’s intervention, which many parents and education officers described as “timely and impactful,” comes at a time when the financial strain of enrolling children into SHS continues to weigh heavily on families, especially those in rural communities.
Each student received a full prospectus package consisting of a trunk, chop box, ten exercise books, and five notebooks—essential items on every SHS admission checklist.
The symbolic gesture was not only aimed at easing parents’ financial burden but also at motivating students to pursue their education with renewed commitment.

A Community Celebration
The event drew hundreds of attendees, including parents, traditional leaders, education officers, and youth groups, who gathered to witness what many hailed as a remarkable investment in the future of Bosome Freho’s young people.
Addressing the gathering, Nana Asafo-Adjei Ayeh underscored his belief that education is the foundation for lasting community development.
He reminded the students that his support was not politically motivated but born out of a genuine desire to see Bosome Freho rise through education.
“I made a conscious decision to support the young people of Bosome Freho, not because of politics, but because education is the foundation upon which development thrives,” he said.
He further urged the students to remain disciplined and dedicated to their studies, emphasizing that their success would not only transform their individual lives but also uplift their communities.
Nana Asafo-Adjei Ayeh also appealed to parents and guardians to complement his efforts by nurturing discipline and focus in their wards.
He noted that the government and community leaders can only achieve sustainable progress when parents actively support their children’s educational journey.
“Let us work together to make Bosome Freho a center of academic excellence,” he added.

Building the “Bosome Freho Rising” Vision
The MP’s initiative forms part of his broader “Bosome Freho Rising” agenda, a developmental vision focused on improving education, empowering youth, and driving socio-economic growth across the constituency.
Since assuming office, Nana Asafo-Adjei Ayeh has launched several community projects aimed at bridging educational gaps and promoting self-reliance among the youth.
