Group D is well decided with Al Ahly and Young Africans qualifying at the expense of Medeama and Belouidaz.

A high-spec performance in the second half ensured a crucial win for Yanga after ending the first half with a 1-0 lead as Midathir Yahya scored with 2 minutes to end the first half.

Two quick goals from Aziz Ki and  Kennedy Musona in two minutes early in the second half made it 3-0 for Yanga. Guede Gnadou scored to make it 4-0 to ensure qualification for the quarter-finals.

Badr Gaddarine scored on the stroke of halftime to secure an impressive 1-0 win for Wydad Casablanca in Botswana over Jwaneng. Thabang Sesinyi missed a penalty for Jwaneng Galaxy in the second half.

A goal each from Joel Beya, Glody Likonza and Patient Mwamba ensured a comprehensive 3-0 win for TP Mazambe against Pyramids in Lubumbashi. The win ensured qualification for TP Mazembe and an exit for Pyramids.

Grant Kekana and Thembenkosi Lorch’s goals were enough to help Mamelodi Sundowns win 2-0 in Mauritania against Nouadhibou. Mamelodi Sundowns have qualified for the quarter-finals as Nouadhibou is eliminated.

In the Tunisian Classico, Esperance proved their superiority once again over their arch-rivals Etoile du Sahel by winning 2-0 in Rades. Yann Sasse and Zakaria El Ayeb were the scorers for Esperance.

Esperance needs just a draw against Al Hilal to ensure qualification in Tunisia on MD6.
