Stade Lunda Sul in Angola shared the spoil with Stade Malien. Saka Diaby opened the scoring for the Malians in the 69th minute as Jose Daniel, with 15 minutes from time, equalized for CD Lunda Sul. Orapa in Botswana drew goalless against ASEC Abidjan.

Berkane travelled to South Africa and smashed Stellenbosch 3-1. Zghoudi Youssef’s first-half brace put the Moroccans into a commanding lead. Reda Hajj made it 3-0 in the 83rd minute. Butsaka Chumani, with three minutes to full time, pulled one back for the South Africans to make the game 3-1. Berkane recorded an incredible win which has helped them keep their 100% record in the Confederation Cup.

Bravos do Maquis’ brilliant first half helped them record an astonishing 3-2 victory over three-time winners CS Sfaxien of Tunisia. Abednego Mosiatlhaga, Joaquim Paciencia and Macaiabo’s goals put the home side in a comfortable 3-1 lead in the first 45 minutes. Cristo’s strike was a mere consolation for Sfaxien in the first half. Hazem Haj Hassen’s second-half strike reduced the deficit to one, but it was too late for the Tunisians as the game ended 3-2 in favour of the Angolans.

Constantine came from behind to beat Simba SC 2-1 in Algeria. Mohammed Hussein put the Tanzanians in front in the 24th minute. An own goal by Abdulrazack Hamza soon after the break made the scoreline 1-1. Brahim Dib’s 50th-minute strike was the winning goal for Constantine in the 2-1 victory.

Enyimba bounced back from two goals down and secured a point against the defending champions Zamalek. Jaziri and Faraj’s 33rd and 40th-minute strikes put the Egyptians ahead. Ifeanyi Ihemekwele struck on the stroke of halftime to give the Nigerians hope for coming back. Chinedu Ufere scored in the 57th minute to finish the comeback for Enyimba SC. The game ended 2-2 with Enyimba the happiest of the two sides.

Black Bulls of Mozambique and Egypt’s Al Masry played a 1-1 draw. Mido Gaber scored the opener for the Egyptians in the 10th minute. Nene, in the 92nd minute, shocked Al Masry by scoring the equalizer.
