The 2025-26 CAF Confederation Cup draw took place in the studios of SuperSport in Johannesburg on Monday afternoon, where football fans across the continent were served with fascinating groups.
Group A contains the 2022-23 winners, USM Alger, who will face Moroccan club Olympic Club Safi. Tensions have been intense recently due to the ownership of the Sahara Desert. Morocco has been declared the outright owner. This fixture has the potential to renew the rivalry. The West African duo of Djoliba from Mali and San Pedro from the Ivory Coast complete the group.
Wydad Casablanca will have to travel outside North Africa on three separate occasions as they face Maniema from D.R. Congo, Azam from Tanzania and Nairobi United of Kenya.
Group C comprises the Algerian side Belouizdad, Stellenbosch from South Africa, AS Otoho from the Republic of the Congo, and Singida Black Stars of Tanzania.
Zamalek and Al Masry from Egypt will face South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs and Zambia’s ZESCO United in Group D
