At the 46th CAF Ordinary General Assembly in Addis Ababa on Tuesday, the governing body of African football remembered the late Ghanaian footballer, Christian Atsu.

CAF showed Atsu’s picture on a very giant screen paying a huge tribut to the late Ghanaian footballer.

Christian Atsu Twasam died at Atakya in February 2023. Atsu went missing in the immediate aftermath of the 2023 Turkey–Syria earthquake. He was later found dead in a very sad manner.

Atsu played for Newcastle, Bournemouth, Rio Ave, FC Porto, Vitesse, Al Raed, Hatayspor, Malaga, Everton and Chelsea.

He played 65 times and scored 9 goals for the Black Stars of Ghana.
