A tricycle rider named Yaw Afriyie, also known as Batman, has killed his wife and six children by setting them on fire in Breman-Dunkwa, located in the Central Region.
Reports indicate that Afriyie is said to have carried out the act after a misunderstanding with his wife.
Around midnight on October 31, 2025, the tricycle rider reportedly asked his wife to check on their sleeping children.
After she entered the room, he is said to have poured gasoline on his wife and children, including his grandchild, locked the door, and set them on fire. Afriyie is said to have taken his own life by hanging.
