The Central East Regional Police Command has apprehended two suspects in connection with a vandalism incident at the Awutu Oshimpo Chief’s palace, while additional suspects remain unidentified.

The suspects are accused of stealing eight items of the chief’s clothing, disabling CCTV cameras, and taking several of the chief’s stools.

A group thought to be land guards entered the palace, discharged several live rounds, and broke down the main door before searching the building.

Nai Okogyeaman Mensah, the Chief of Awutu Oshimpo, informed Adom News that his personal clothing and the main door of the palace were among the items that were taken.

He praised the Central East Regional Police Command for their swift action and requested that the Inspector General of Police help capture the remaining suspects so they can be brought to justice.
