The MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, was in party mode as the world of football was entertained by the English side Chelsea.

In the presence of the world’s most powerful man, Donald Trump, the president of the USA and the most powerful man in sports, Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, Chelsea pulverised the much-feared PSG by 3-0.

Cole Palmer’s delightful brace and Joao Pedro’s wonderful dink helped the Blues take a commanding 3-0 lead in the first half. Everything pointed to the fact that there was no way back for the French and European champions because they looked well organised.

Chelsea’s hero, Palmer, was excited and revealed the good job Maresca is doing for the club. “It is a great feeling. Even better, because everyone doubted us before the game. They [PSG] are a great team. I like finals. The manager gave us a great game plan, and I just had to repay him with goals. He [Enzo Maresca] is building something special and important. We are a young team. Everyone has spoken rubbish about us all season.”

Chelsea’s goalkeeper Sanchez, had his best moment in Chelsea’s colours after making great saves on four separate occasions to keep his side in the game.

Enzo Maresca, manager of Chelsea, won his second trophy in a year and expressed his delight.“No words. The players deserve this. It is a good moment. For me, we won the game in the first 10 minutes. We set the tempo and the way we wanted to play. Today, we found more space for Cole Palmer. I am happy for Cole, but the effort from all the players was fantastic. I am very excited about the future, but a bit more excited for the three weeks off!”

London-based club Chelsea became the only club in the world to have won every major trophy. The victory has earned them a whopping USD120 million.
