After matchday 4, Manchester United have won just four points from a possible 12. An opening day defeat to Arsenal was followed by a draw at Fulham and a hard-fought victory over the newly promoted side Burnley.
Last week’s 3-0 defeat at arch rivals Manchester City has brought Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United to square one.
The club did not repeat any of the performances they had put up in the first three in the defeat at City and will quickly want to return to winning ways against Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea’s manager Enzo Maresca has disclosed that Manchester United’s results do not match the performances they have put up in their games this season.
“Some of the games they [Manchester United] have played this season are NOT the real result, even the Man City game. It will be a tough game, no doubt”, Maresca said.
The statistics so far in the season suggest that the club should be way higher than the 14th position it currently occupies.
Ruben Amorim is under immense pressure and must win at all costs against Chelsea to calm things down.
The Blues lost 3-1 in Munich against German giants Bayern Munich in their first game of the UEFA Champions League.
They face a tough trip to Old Trafford as they aim to end a twelve year wait for a victory at Manchester United.
