The Ghana Football Association’s bus saga continues with the Communication Director, Henry Asante Twum the latest to comment on it. He has revealed that the clubs that received the buses knew the state of them.
In an interview on Joy FM’s Game Plan, the Communication director said, “Clubs were aware the buses were not brand new. I think the problem was with the condition”.
“It is unfortunate that some of the clubs received buses that were not in good condition. It was never the intention of the GFA to provide buses that would cause problems for the clubs instead of assisting them.” Asante Twum added.
Kurt Okraku made a promise to the Access Bank Divison One clubs that whoever tops their zone will be given buses alongside some clubs of the Women’s League in a bid to fix some of the fundamentals of Ghanaian football.
Many thought the promise had been delivered when it was announced that the buses had been given to some of the clubs. It did not take long before the clubs discovered that the buses were in very horrible states.
