Prosper Ogum Narteh has been under immense pressure since the 2-1 defeat at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Legon against then-strugglers Legon Cities.

The club has gone 4 consecutive games without a single win and it has been a major concern for everyone.

The pandemonium began with a 1-1 draw at Anyinase against Basake Holy Stars, and then an unexpected 2-1 defeat to the lowly Royals followed.

A first home defeat at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium against Kpando Heart of Lions was recorded with the Kpando-based club narrowly pipping the Porcupine Warriors 1-0.

Over the weekend, a trip to Bechem ended in another defeat against Bechem United. These results clearly show that there’s fire on the mounting for Prosper Ogum Narteh.

Former Asante Kotoko forward Saddick Adams has piled more pressure on the head coach by cheekily telling him to go and teach in schools.

“Last season did not go well, and this season too? I can’t deal with Doctors or Professors who are coaches,” Adams subtly jabbed Ogum.

”Those coaches talk like they are teaching in school. Coaches who are lecturers should lecture in school and stop coaching. It is different from lecturing in school and dealing with players. Lecturing players will not work because they are professionals, added Saddick Adams.

Known as Ɔbenfo because of his highest educational background, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical Education (Sport Psychology) and Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Physical Education, and he lectures at the University of Cape Coast.

Asante Kotoko is under immense pressure because they now trail league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars by 5 points and surprisingly sit a place below perennial rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.

Some sections of the club have been calling for the sacking of the coach, and Saddick Adams’ comments echo the feelings of the fans. A visit to the red-hot Nations FC could be a make or break for Prosper Ogum Narteh.
