Davido blows $300,000 gift on Chioma at $3.7m Miami wedding

Afrobeats megastar David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has once again made headlines — this time for a grand public display of love and generosity toward his wife, Chioma Rowland Adeleke, during their opulent white wedding in Miami, United States.

In an emotional vow before family, friends, and a star-studded guest list, the Nigerian music icon described Chioma as the embodiment of peace and unconditional love in his life.

“This is the most nervous I’ve ever been. You are my love, my peace. You walked into my life quietly and became the loudest and most beautiful part of it. God sent you to show me what unconditional love feels like. We’ve known love only people can dream of, and pain only we can understand, and we are still here. I promise to protect you,” Davido declared.

The lavish Miami celebration marked the couple’s third marriage ceremony, following a private court wedding in March 2023 and a glamorous traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024.

This latest chapter in their love story reportedly came with a jaw-dropping price tag of $3.7 million, placing it among the most extravagant celebrity weddings of 2025.

In a further gesture of affection, Davido surprised Chioma with a diamond-encrusted Richard Mille wristwatch valued at $300,000.

This is the second such timepiece he has gifted her, the first being part of a luxury package including Birkin bags for her birthday in 2023.

The Miami nuptials drew an elite roster of guests, including Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, entertainment mogul Obi Cubana, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, and several top-tier Nigerian and international music stars.

The festivities began with a “Havana Night”-themed pre-wedding party featuring electrifying performances by Zlatan, Adekunle Gold, and B-Red, setting the tone for the grand finale.
