The biggest event in recent years in Ghana during Christmas is Detty December, where Americans of Ghanaian and Nigerian descent party throughout the entire December to the first week of the new year.
An American lady who arrived earlier in Ghana for Detty December has accused some men of the Ghana Police Service of kidnapping and extortion.
“Last night I was robbed and kidnapped by the police in Ghana.” The police took away 400$ from another guy and me,” she disclosed.
Detty December has become so big that businessmen and women have been making enough cash from it.
The Ghana Police Service is yet to comment on the allegations by the unnamed American lady. Investigations are expected to commence soon by the Ghana Police Service.
