Group C of the 2023-24 CAF Confederations Cup has been interesting right from the onset as Dreams FC, Club Africain and Rivers United each have the chance of qualifying with only one round of fixtures left.

At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Dreams FC beat Club Africain of Tunisia 1-0 to move three points ahead of the Tunisians and Rivers United of Nigeria.

The first half ended in a goalless draw with Club Africain having 4 shots with two on target. Dreams had 3 shots with 2 on targets as the stats suggest how difficult the game was.

However, star boy Abdul Azziz Issah assisted 21-year-old Godfred Atuahene who put the Ghanaians ahead in the 50th minute.

The win has sent Dreams FC to the top of the table with 12 points, followed by Club Africain with 9 and Rivers United also with 9 points after defeating Academica Lobito of Angola 3-2 in Angola.

The group is too tight to the extent that the last match day will determine the teams that will qualify.

Dreams FC will make a short trip to Nigeria to face Rivers United while the poor Academica will travel to Tunisia to face Club Africain.
