It has been 6 months since the 2024 General Election was organised successfully. The success of it depended heavily on the organisation of the electoral commission’s officers.

The officers expected their allowances to be paid within at least three months, but six months have passed and they have yet to receive them.

The officials complained bitterly a couple of weeks ago, and the Electoral Commission blamed the finance ministry for the delay.

News released by the Electoral Commission of Ghana says the Ministry of Finance has released funds for the payment of outstanding allowances for the officials.

The payments will be made before 20th June 2025.
