ECG announces planned power outages across several regions

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a series of planned and emergency maintenance exercises across multiple regions this week, which will lead to temporary power outages in several communities.

Greater Accra Region

• Monday, Feb 23 (9:00 am – 3:00 pm): Leisure Hours, Nungua Zongo, Royal Park, Blue Blue, Kpeshie Divisional HQ, Coco Beach, and surrounding areas.

• Tuesday, Feb 24 (9:00 am – 3:00 pm): Kpong, Odumase, Nuaso, Agormeda, Kojonya, Comm. 19 Annex, Lashibi, Klagon, and surrounding areas.

• Thursday, Feb 26 (9:00 am – 3:00 pm): GCB Training School, Buade, Kokobribri, Royal Ravico, Junction Mall, Watch Tower, Alton Hotel, Regimanuel Estates, Queensland Int. School, Old Ningo, New Ningo, and surrounding areas.

Accra East Region

• Sunday, Feb 22 (9:00 am – 3:00 pm): Electro Volta House and surrounding areas (emergency).

• Monday, Feb 23 (9:00 am – 5:00 pm): Teiman, Ga East Hospital, Boshe Norman, and nearby communities.

• Tuesday, Feb 24 (9:00 am – 5:00 pm): Santana Market, Ayikuma, Doryumu, Kodeabe, and surrounding areas.

• Wednesday, Feb 25 (9:00 am – 5:00 pm): La Cemetery, parts of Burma Camp, Twumasiwaa Hospital, Dzen Ayor, Ability, and surrounding areas.

• Thursday, Feb 26 (9:00 am – 5:00 pm): Lakeside Estate Com. 6 & 8, New Legon, Block Factory (East Legon), Sasaabi Township, Mensah Bar, and surrounding areas.

Accra West Region

• Sunday, Feb 22 (9:00 am – 5:00 pm): Latter Day Saint HQ, Ghana Immigration Service, Alisa Hotel, Swiss Embassy, WAEC, and surrounding areas (emergency).

• Monday, Feb 23 – Thursday, Feb 26 (9:00 am – 5:00 pm): Abedi Pele Park, Dunyo, Red Top, Old Barrier, New Aplaku, Eden Height, Kings University, Alogboshie, Achimota Neoplan, Benjilo, Akweteyman, New Bortianor, Katapor, Edusa, Tetegu, White Cross, Doblo, Hebron, Medie, Sarpeiman, Satellite, John Teye, Fountain Gate Chapel, Franko Estate, Ecobloc, and surrounding areas.

Central Region

• Tuesday, Feb 24 (9:00 am – 4:00 pm): Agona Municipal Assembly, Agona Police Station, Agona Zongo, Bipoa Town, Bodomase, Afamaso, and surrounding communities.

ECG stated that the maintenance works are necessary to improve service delivery and apologized for any inconvenience the outages may cause. Customers are advised to plan accordingly and stay updated on any changes.
