The 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers will resume in September 2025 for Europe and Africa, even though there’s an international break in June before the FIFA Club World Cup is played in the USA, according to FIFA’s calendar for 2025.

England will host Ghana, Jamaica and Nigeria in a four-nation International Friendly as part of their preparations for the rest of the World Cup qualifiers.

Thomas Tuchel will get the opportunity to meet his side for the second time after commencing his Three Lions reign with two victories over Albania and Latvia in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana commenced 2025 with victories over China and Madagascar in the World Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria is in real danger of missing out after winning four points from six in March’s international break, helping leaders South Africa to open a 6-point lead over them.

Jamaica will play the British Virgin Islands and Guatemala in June in North & Central America’s World Cup qualifiers.

All four teams that will be involved in the friendly tournament will use the games as preparations for their subsequent World Cup qualifiers.

Venues and fixtures are yet to be known, but it is expected to be communicated to fans sooner rather than later.
