Spain indeed are deserving champions after beating every opponent in Euro 2024. This is how champions do the business.

Champions normally beat every opponent that comes thier way and Spain duly did that and also outplayed every opponent.

Luis De la Fuente’s La Roja has beaten Croatia, Italy, Germany, France and England in the same tournament. This is so incredible from Spain.

Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams combined to give Spain a lead with just two minutes into the second half.

17 year old Lamal gave a well weighed pass to Williams Jnr whose beautiful shot gave no chance to the impressive Pickford to save.

La Roja continued thier usual dominance of play after taking a lead as things were extremely difficult for England. Yamal and Oryazabal came close to doubling Spain’s lead but their efforts were superbly dealt with by Pickford.

Cole Plamer’s introduction was expected to yield a huge impact as it has been the case of England’s tournament. The Chelsea forward replaced Manchester United’s young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo in the 70th minute.

Saka and Bellingham combined to set up the substitute Cole Palmer in the 73rd minute whose shot from outside the 18-yard-box walked straight into the left hand side of Spain’s post to level the score 1-1.

England was confident they were going to do the business after finding the equaliser. Substitute Oryazabal scored from close range with just four minutes to end the game.

It was always going to be a difficult job for England to come back because Spain was still good even after taking a 2-1 lead.

De La Fuente’s charges kept their composure, defended well and won their 4th European Championship trophy. La Roja are now the undisputed kings in Europe after winning three of the last five European championships.

Rodri was voted for as the Best Player of the Tournament, Lamine Yamal won Young Player of the Tournament and Dani Olmo won the Top Scorer of the Tournament making it a very successful summer for Spain in Germany.
