27-year-old Arsenal’s Brazilian centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to the hamstring injury he suffered when Arsenal played against Fulham on Tuesday night in the English Premier League at the Emirates Stadium.
Scans on his injury on Wednesday confirmed that Arsenal’s number-one centre-back would miss the rest of the season.
Magalhaes’ absence is a very big blow in Arsenal’s bid to eliminate the UCL defending champions Real Madrid in the quarter-finals.
Arsenal has seen so many players suffering injuries this season, but Gabriel’s one could be the biggest, as he is certainly irreplaceable.
Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Jurien Timber, Ben White, and Tomiyasu Takehiro have all suffered severe injuries in the campaign which has prevented the Gunners from competing for laurels.
Arsenal will welcome Everton on Saturday at the launch time kickoff in the EPL before hosting Real Madrid next Tuesday in London.
