Dutch manager Erik Ten Hag has been sacked by Manchester United after a disastrous start to the season.
Manchester United’s season has been marred by series of horrible performances with the club failing to win any of their three Europa League games played against FC Twente, FC Porto and Fernabahce.
In the EPL, the club has won just 3 games in the 9 played thus far. The Red Devils sit 14th on the log with just 11 points won from the possible 27.
Erik Ten Hag joined Manchester United in the 2022-23 season after a wonderdul stint with Ajax Amsterdam where his style of play caught the attention of Europe and the entire world.
In the two and half years at Manchester United, Erik Ten Hag won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup for the club.
However, he finished 8th in the 2023-24 season which was the club’s lowest position since the the league was rebranded in 1992.
Assistant manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy is set to replace him at the moment with former Barcelona and Spanish midfielder, Xavi Cruz Hernandez been mentioned as a potential replacement for the ditched Dutch manager.

“Ruud van Nistelrooy will take charge of the team as interim head coach, supported by the current coaching team, whilst a permanent head coach is recruited”.
