Black Stars’ head coach Otto Addo has not received a penny from the Sports Ministry in the last four months. The last time he was paid was in August, per news from close sources in the GFA.
Otto Addo is on a $50k per month salary after he agreed a 3-year deal with an option for another year in March 2024. The former Black Stars midfielder has received 5 months’ salary from 9 so far.
Not only the head coach who has not been paid in the last four months but his entire coaching staff too.
The Ministry of Youth & Sports and the Ghana Football Association are yet to comment on the news officially though but it is believed they are owing the head coach and his staff.
His leadership failed to qualify Ghana for the 2025 AFCON to be played in Morocco in December 2025 and January 2-026.
Many Ghanaians called for the sacking of Otto Addo after the disastrous campaign in the year 2024 after the 2023 AFCON.
Otto Addo will lead Ghana’s bid for the 2026 FIFA World Cup when it resumes in Marchmonths.
