The mini invitational tournament was participated by four clubs; Nations FC, Nsoatreman FC, Legon Cities FC and the host, FC Samartex, at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex in Samreboi hosting all the four games.
The current champions of the Ghana Premier League, Samartex, lifted the trophy by beaten Legon Cities 1-0 after haven pipped Nations FC on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regular time.
In the first game for the Timber Giants, Samartex thrashed Nsoatreman 4-0 in a grand style. As part of their preparations ahead of the crucial CAF Champions League preliminary round qualifiers against Cameroonian champions Victoria United on August 18, at the Japoma Stadium in Douala, Samartex showed how sharp they are against the CAF Confederation Cup bound Nsoatreman.
The Timber Giants are now the current champions of the Nsenkyire Cup after Berekum Chelsea lifted the maiden edition in 2023.
Nurueen Amadu’s Samartex have been preparing intensively ahead of their maiden inter-club campaign.
