The Sunyani Midwifery and Nursing Training College is in a mourning state after a final-year student at Jinijini in her boyfriend’s room.
The report says that 28-year-old student nurse Gifty Kyere, who is a final-year student, died after attempting to abort a pregnancy via unorthodox means.
The deceased 23-year-old boyfriend, Edmund Ayomah, initially lied that the Gifty suffered from asthma and died.
He later disclosed that she died through a failed abortion attempt after his claim was not accepted by the family of Gifty and the Ghana Police Service.
The deceased’s father, who many reports say that he is a pastor revealed that her daughter came home a day before the incident for her school fees and other valuable items for school but rather went to her boyfriend’s house instead of going to the campus straight away.
The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigations into the death of Gifty.
