Five individuals are suspected of attacking the Nkaseim Police Station, stealing an AK-47 rifle, and then robbing the Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company, Kobby Gold Buying Company, and Asutifi Rural Bank Limited on December 2, 2025, in Nkaseim, located in the Ahafo Region.

During the coordinated robbery, the assailants took cash from several locations: Fourteen Thousand Cedis (GHC14,000.00) from the bank, Twelve Thousand Cedis (GHC12,000.00) from the cocoa buying company, and additional amounts from the gold buying company.

They also shot and wounded a worker from the Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company.

Mutar Kofi, 35 years old and a commercial tricycle rider, was arrested on January 16, 2026, at a place called “Ata ne Ata” near Nkaseim.

He confessed to his participation in the robbery. Additional investigations resulted in the arrest of Mahamadu Sagio, 45, in Nkaseim, Shaibu Issah Jallo, also known as Jibo, 28, in Chereponi, and Abdul Suleman, 40, in Tanga near Karaga in the Northern Region.

On January 25, 2026, another suspect named Bukari Sulley, also known as Tailor, who is 25 years old and works as a trader in Alaba, Kumasi, was arrested in relation to the robbery.
