The Ahinsan Youth Centre Table Tennis Club was in a jubilant mood when one of their darlings won a bronze medal for Ghana in the maiden edition of the ongoing Africa Schools Games hosted by Algeria.
The table tennis club was visited by former Member of Parliament for Oforikrom, Dr Emmanuel Marfo, on Wednesday morning, where he trained with the players.
Dr Emmanuel Marfo is a big fan of table tennis and revealed to the team that they have his support and will plan to organise competitions for lovers of the sport.
In addition to his sweet words and commitment, Dr Emmanuel Marfo made donations to announce his love for the sport.
Ghana’s participation in the competition was welcomed by the Education and Sports Ministries as they consider it the beginning of the preparations for the 2028 and 2032 Olympic Games.

Michael Mensah Agyepong is a student of the Ahinsan Youth Centre Table Tennis Club, and his victory in Algeria is not shocking to them because they believe in him.
He made a good name for himself and the club in Algeria when he defeated his opponent 3-1 in the bronze medal match in the Africa School Games.
A student of Opoku Ware Senior High School, Michael’s composure and power make him a talent that Ghana must monitor to ensure their progress.
