GFA reports betting companies to Gaming Commision for irregularities

Gaming commission of Ghana is responsible for issuing licenses to all gaming operators and permits to companies and individuals that wish to run promotions with elements of game of chance. This is the duty of the Gaming Commision of Ghana.

The Ghana Football Association has reported the conduct of betting companies to the Gaming Commission with regards to illegally putting it on their site.

The betting platforms cited in the GFA’s report have involved in unauthorised betting on matches organised and sanctioned by the GFA.

The GFA has made it clear that they are not going to entertain any illegalities from the various Betting companies. Every company that wishes to put the Ghana Premier League on their betting site must seek authority from the Ghana Football Association.

Issues of betting has been a real problem for Ghana’s domestic league for almost a decade and authorities are ready to end it.
