The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued a weather advisory warning of potential isolated thunderstorms across parts of the Ashanti Region and surrounding areas from midday through the evening.
In its 24-hour forecast, GMet noted that early morning mist and fog may reduce visibility in coastal, forest, and hilly zones. These conditions are expected to clear as the day progresses, giving way to rain-bearing clouds over parts of the middle belt, including the Ashanti Region.
Thunderstorms are most likely in areas such as Kumasi, Obuasi, Koforidua, Akim Oda, and other nearby transition-belt communities.
Northern Ghana is forecast to remain relatively dry with slight haze, while southern areas will enjoy bright and sunny conditions once the morning fog dissipates.
The Meteorological Agency has urged residents, motorists, and outdoor workers in the Ashanti Region to remain alert to sudden weather changes and take necessary precautions.
