The Ghana Police Service has apprehended David Kwodwo Prah Afful, who was seen in a widely circulated video encouraging violence against public officials and government employees.

The police announced that the arrest made on Saturday, September 13, 2025, was the result of ongoing intelligence operations.

The individual, commonly referred to online as “Kwame Nkrumah the Second”, was arrested at his location near Kasoa Market at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Saturday.”

The police stated that Mr. Afful used his social media accounts to make threats toward government officials, journalists, and civil servants, especially targeting those who drive vehicles with official green license plates.

He reportedly threatened to set markets on fire and encouraged his followers to carry out similar acts of violence.

He is currently in custody and will appear in court on charges of making threats against public officials and promoting violence.
