It’s very unbelievable to hear that referees have gone a whooping twenty matchdays without salaries.

Referees are like judges, teachers, doctors and nurses, as without their services, there’s no way a country can move forward.

You can’t organise a football game without referees. Their services are so essential that if care is not taken, they can disrupt an entire season and create chaos.

News is circulating in the Ghanaian media that the Ghana Premier League referees are yet to receive a salary from the last 20 GPL games spanning from last season.

We are 10 weeks underway, with the 11th week just a day to commence, but the officials are yet to receive a penny, per multiple reports.

Referees Association of Ghana has yet to comment on the rumours.

How can professional referees be not paid for 5 good months?
