Ghana Premier League roundup- Abdul Aziz Issah’s brace sink Bofoakwa, Medeama narrowly beat Great Olympics

Two Ghana Premier League games were played on Wednesday as Medeama SC and Dreams FC defeated Great Olympics and Tano Bofoakwa respectively.

The postponed week 12 league games due to the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup commitments by Medeama SC and Dreams FC took place in Dawu and Tarkwa.

Dreams FC 3-1 Tano Bofoakwa

At the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu,  Boateng Mensah Agyenim put the home team in front in the 5th minute.

Isaac Baffoe equalised in the 27th minute for Tano Bofoakwa.

Abdul Aziz Issah scored a brace on the stroke of halftime and in the 82nd minute to ensure a 3-1 win for Dreams FC. The Still Believe have leapfrogged Tano Bofoakwa on the table with the 3-1 win.

Dreams are now 14th on the table having won 19 points from 15 games with 2 games in hand.

Bofoakwa on the other hand is 15th on the league table with a goal difference separating them and the 17th-placed team RTU.

Medeama SC 1-0 Accra Great Olympics

At the Akoon Park in Tarkwa, Medeama recorded a slim 1-0 win over Accra Great Olympics. Kamaradini Mamudu’s 31st-minute goal was enough to ensure the three points for the defending champions.

Medeama has moved two places higher on the table with 23 points from 15 games as Great Olympics are 11th after winning just one Premier League game in their last 8.
