Inaki Williams on Thursday afternoon began his 11th season at the senior side of Athletic Bilbao in the 1-1 draw against Getafe at the Estadio San Mames.

The 30-year-old has been a regular for the club since making his debut in the 2014/15 season.

Born and bred in Bilbao to Ghanaian parents, the experienced WIlliams has been appointed as the deputy captain for Athletic Bilbao by Ernesto Valverde, the manager of the club.

Oscar de Marcos, 35, is the captain for Athletic Bilbao but has not played since the last day of last season against Osasuna due to injury. In his absence, Inaki Wiliams will proudly lead the club until he returns.

Williams was destined to lead the club after spending a decade in the senior team.
