Authorities in the Central East Region have apprehended a 25-year-old man named Samuel Okolie on charges of robbery. He is alleged to have assaulted a woman at 5:30 AM on July 10, 2025, in Millennium City, which is situated in the Gomoa East District.

He took her iPhone 16 Pro Max and a handbag that contained some cash. Following the robbery, Okolie sought refuge in Ngleshie Amanfro.

The police located and arrested him through effective investigative techniques. During a search, the police discovered the stolen iPhone along with several other items thought to be from different thefts.

The recovered items included a Dell laptop, two Itel phones, one Nokia phone, one Alcatel phone, one Vodafone WiFi device, two AirPods, three wristwatches, a gold necklace, ten memory cards, and a wallet containing a health insurance card that belonged to another person.

Authorities report that Okolie is currently assisting with the investigations. They have requested that anyone who might have been a victim of his theft report to the station. This arrest comes after police successfully secured a 25-year sentence for another robbery suspect two days prior.
