Samartex travelled to Dun’s Park in Bibiani to face Nsoatreman in the final fixture of week 24 of the GPL.
Nsoatreman’s Nana Konamansah Park in Nsoatre has been closed due to the killing of Pooley on February 2nd when Kotoko visited.
In Nsoatreman’s first fixture at their adopted home, defending champions Samartex won 1-0 via former Real Tamale United striker Mohammed Mankuyeli’s 60th minute strike.
Both sides showed rustiness due to the lack of competitive action in the last 36 days.
The home side had enough chances throughout the game but were not clinical enough to utilize any of them.
The win for Samartex has moved them to 9th on the league log winning 27 points from 20 games.
Nsoatreman sits14th on the table having amassed 21 points from 20 games. The Nsoatre-based club are just three points above the relegation danger.
