Hearts of Oak’s head coach Abubakar Ouattara has played down the club’s title challenge after the 2-0 win over Young Apostlesthe at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Legon on Saturday night.
The Phobians, through Awuah Mensah and Hamzah Isaah’s goals, recorded their 5th win in their last seven league games having drawn the other two. This incredible form has helped zoom them to the top of the league.
After the 2-0 success over Young Apostles, Ouattara was asked about Hearts of Oak’s chances of winning the league.
The Ivorian tactician was so calm and humble and said, “As to whether we will win the league, I can only reply to you on June 8. Our next game is against Dreams FC, and that is an even tougher game”.
Aboubakar Ouattara will face Dreams FC next, and he is thinking of that difficult fixture instead of winning the league. June 8 will be the final day of the season, and Ouattara is willing to answer the journalist who asked him about winning the league on that very day.
