I was born into a family of musicians — Korzai talks about his musical life

Ghanaian afrofusion musician, Korzai, has been discussing his musical career.

According to him, he was born into a family of musicians.

In a brief statement on his art, the ‘SomethingSomething’ hitmaker stated that he is delighted that he is finally making music for commercial usage.

Popular Ghanaian journalist Kafui Dey, who produced his songs and served as his inspiration for his musical career, received heartfelt gratitude from him.

Born Korsi Asiseh Jnr., Korzai has released four singles since beginning his career in music a few months ago, and has promised to release a love song in his next project.

There is joy in my soul because finally, I am doing what I have always wanted to do.

And I am enjoying it.

Thanks to Kafui Dey my brother, manager and producer.

Many don’t believe I am a musician because I never held myself as such.

But it’s a gift from nature to me.

It’s not something I just adopted. It has always been with me.

And I also belong to a family of musicians though none of them played commercial music.

My mother is a keyboardist and my dad a powerful vocalist. My uncles and Aunties compose songs just like that. As well as my siblings.

I was in charge of the school choir way back in secondary school.

And I have been composing songs then. Songs that my secondary school mates still remember.

During entertainment I entertained my school mates via dancing and singing. I remember doing a rendition of Lionel Richie’s song “All night long during one of those entertainments night. It’s a moment that I will never forget.

We even had a band called The Dynamic Jammers” of which I was the lead singer.

My music is different so I choose to call it Afrofusion. Because it’s a blend of highlife afrobeat, jamma etc.

If the korzai fever hasn’t caught up with you yet it’s just a matter of time.
