Black Stars did not qualify for the 2025 AFCON but Ghana will be there.
Sudan’s coaching team is led by Ghanaians; it is likely some Ghanaian referees will be selected for the tournament.
Another way Ghana will be in Morocco will be the presence of the boss of the nation’s football.
President of Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, has disclosed that he will be in Morocco for the AFCON, although Black Stars did not qualify.
“I will never, never be happy that Ghana will not be at the AFCON, but that is the reality of life,” Kurt said.
Ghanaians are not happy with Balck Stars’ absence in Morocco 2025, and it will take time before they will forgive the Black Stars for that monumental failure.
Kurt continued, “I think hard lessons have been learnt by everybody, me included”.
Only time will tell whether Ghana and the so-called football people have learnt something from the embarrassment the team suffered during the AFCON qualifiers.
“I’ll go out there to Morocco to watch the tournament, to be part of the group. Obviously, I’ll love Ghana to be there while I’m there,” the president revealed.
Kurt Okraku will certainly be given a majestic welcome in Morocco because he is the president of Ghana’s Football Association.
Ghana failed to beat any of Niger, Sudan and Angola in the qualifers.
2024 could be considered as the worst year for Black Stars. The team will have the opportunity to correct the wrongs if they can secure a slot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be played in the USA-CANADA-MEXICO.
