Dreams FC’s head coach Abdul Karim Zito has expressed his disappointment in Otto Addo selecting only one player in his team for Mali and Central African Republic games in June’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Karim Zito speaking on Kessben FM’s KickOff Sports Show expressed his disappointment in Otto Addo’s decision.

“Otto Addo has indeed confirmed what some sports journalists say that our league is dead.

“I’m very disappointed. I’m not sure he used performance to select the players because if he selected the players based on performance then I think players in the Ghana league deserve better,” said Didi Dramani.

“And if it comes to the Confederation Cup, Dreams FC also deserves a slot. Forget about Kurt Okraku., We are all Ghanaians, working for Ghana and playing for Ghana”.

Didi Dramani’s heroes who made it to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup showed huge potential that they at least deserve a slot or two in the Black Stars call-up.

“So as coaches, you go around and you only selected one player from the Ghana League who is even a Goalkeeper, then I’m very disappointed,” added Didi Dramani.

It was a very good season in African inter-club competitions with Medeama and Dreams FC defying all the odds and reaching the money zone of the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

It is very surprising to see all the players of both Medeama and Dreams snubbed in the latest Black Stars squad.

The only Ghana Premier League player included in Otto Addo’s squad is Asante Kotoko’s Frederick Asare.
