Dreams FC’s head coach Karim Zito has blamed Ghanaian sports journalists as part of the Black Stars’ troubles in recent years.

The veteran tactician, in an interview with Graphic Sports, commented on the Black Stars’ horrible performances, especially in 2024, which led the team to miss the upcoming 2025 AFCON.

“What is troubling the Black Stars? Why are we always searching for new players? The media also plays a role they keep attacking coaches instead of supporting long-term growth,” Karim Zito said.

Ghanaian media has not been easy on the Black Stars, especially when they failed to qualify in a group alongside Angola, Sudan and Niger for a slot in Morocco 2025. Karim Zito blamed them for overreacting always and urged them to support long-term projects.

“We focus too much on instant results, but you can’t achieve success without first laying strong foundations,” he concluded.

The truth is that the Ghana Black Stars has been under transition for almost 4 years now so it will be extremely difficult for Ghanaians to exercise patience now.

Failing to beat Niger and Sudan is very unacceptable and Ghanaians will not take it lightly if the team fails to win the two upcoming World Cup qualifiers games against Chad and Madagascar.
