It is only CAF that is yet to submit its representatives for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup to be played in Chile between 27th September and 19th October later this year.
The AFCON U20 Championship is at the quarter-final stage, with Ghana set to battle Egypt, the host nation, on Monday afternoon with the winner qualifying for Chile 2025.
Ghana’s Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams has wished the Black Satellites all the best and discussed how happy he will be if the team can qualify for the World Cup.
“This U-20 team has good, and I just pray that luck will be on their side so that we will be one of the teams to qualify for the U-20 World Cup in Chile, which will be played later part of the year. I wish them well, and I know they will do Ghana the honour,” Adams said in an interview on Asempa FM.
The 2009 U20 World champions have missed the last three editions of the competition and will be ready to return to the world stage.
Desmond Offei’s men topped Group B after winning two games and drawing one.
