The outspoken Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central Constituency, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has criticised parents who are complaining of the Ghana Education Service’s decision to let all senior high school girls keep their hair long.

GES announced that they are not tolerating any hairstyle aside from low ones to ensure uniformity and help teaching and learning run smoothly for facilitators and students.

The decision drew wild criticisms from many Ghanaians, as some are against it, whilst others are in support of it.

A Plus, Ghanaian hiplife musician, political activist, and politician, on his Facebook wrote, Don’t cut ur kids’ hair. That nonsense must stop. Take ur kids to GIS. U can’t pay GIS? Cut the “nonsense” hair and go for free!

A Plus’s interesting message means that he is in full support of GES’s new rule.

Girls keeping their hair in school have been prevented because many will abuse it.
