Ghana Women’s Premier League team Lady Strikers were involved in a serious accident on the Tema Motorway on Saturday, November 16, 2024, while traveling to their round four match against Halifax Ladies.
The Cape Coast-based club was en route to Tema New Town’s Nii Adjei Kraku II Park for the match when their bus reportedly veered off the road and tipped onto its side.
Disturbing photos shared on social media showed players with bandages on their heads, sparking concerns for their safety.
