A Landlady in Tarkwa has, unbelievably, sprayed faeces in tenants’ rooms for refusing to accept the rent increase.

The tenant, Comfort, stated that she rented the apartment for one year at Gh¢2000 and expressed a desire to extend her lease after the year ended.

However, the landlady, who does not live in the house, informed Comfort that she did not require the money at that time and would contact her if it was needed later.

Four months later, the landlady contacted Comfort to inform her that the rent had been unexpectedly raised from Gh¢2000 to Gh¢3,500.

Comfort requested ‘Last Hour’ to agree to the earlier amount because the new price was communicated to her unexpectedly.

Last Hour reportedly did not permit her to stay for the remaining months, which led to a disagreement between them.

Later that day, the landlady returned while Comfort was out. It is claimed that Last Hour took away the main gate that provides access to the tenant’s apartment and sprayed the room with faeces.

Comfort subsequently informed the Tarkwa Railway Police Station about the issue. The police also notified the local Assembly Member to verify the situation.

The local assembly member who decided to visit the house to settle the matter discovered faeces in Comfort’s room, much to her disappointment.

After investigations into the case were conducted, Last Hour admitted that she sprayed the faeces into every corner of Comfort’s room and her belongings.

Last Hour has not been reached after the police and the assembly decided to invite her for further investigations.
