The beautiful and affable Mama Effe Amanor has decided to end her journey in broadcasting after an unbelievable 28 years with multimedia. She could go down as probably the most loyal broadcaster in the Ashanti Region, as presenters have developed a knack for switching stations, like changing their panties every morning and evening.
Credited for introducing social programmes on radio stations in the Ashanti Region, the incredible Mama Effe’s contributions to the lives of millions of Ghanaians can never be underestimated.
She commenced her journalism journey way back in 1997 when she was a panellist on Multimedia’s LUV FM’s marriage issues programme.
In 2005, she took the responsibility of daring to change lives by seeking justice for the vulnerable through her show Obra on Nhyira 104.5 FM, which was aired from 12:30 to 3 pm from Mondays to Fridays.
CEO of the company, Kwesi Twum, praised and paid a huge respect to the veteran broadcaster.
“We honour not just your years of service, Mama Effe, but the immeasurable impact of your presence. The legacy you leave behind is written in the lives you have touched and the hearts you have uplifted,” he noted.
Mama Effe will leave a huge gap in Multimedia after listeners of the Nhyira FM have fallen in love with her.
Her send-off party was graced by Lawson FM’s gorgeous Maame Frimpomaa Korankye and Sompa FM’s immaculate Oheneni Adazowa. These two renowned journalists certainly always draw inspiration from their godmother, Mama Effe Amanor.
Enjoy your retirement, Mama Effe. All the Best!
