Forging documents to get into the police training school in Pwalugu, Upper East Region, has put a 28-year-old police recruit behind bars.
Sadam Sumaila, the suspect, was undergoing training to become a constable after he produced supporting documentation and a degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
As per the report available to Kapitalradio971.com, he complained to his superiors about training with lesser levels despite having submitted a degree during the enlisting procedure.
When they asked him to show them the certificate again for inspection, they discovered that there were some errors on it, which led them to believe the certificate wasn’t authentic.
He acknowledged during questioning that he had falsified his certificate in order to join the Ghana Police Service and that it wasn’t authentic.
