Abdul Salam, 31, a farmer from Adidaase near Manso Amenfi in the Wassa Amenfi District of the Western Region, killed his 6-year-old son by beheading him and removing his legs.
He then hid the body parts in a nearby bush where he thought no one would ever discover them.
The boy was reported missing, prompting a search in the area. No one in the entire vicinity believed the father had murdered his own son.
After the search produced no findings, authorities questioned Abdul Salam, who confessed to the crime.
He stated that he planned to sell his son’s head and legs for a money ritual, according to the police in Asankragua.
